Pics of the figured wood on my new Guitar...

It's very difficult to capture things like flamed, quilted and birdseye maple in pictures because there's this weird "depth" to it... a 3D quality (holographic wood? [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) as you tilt the wood in different angles.

Look where you see stripes and streaks that cross the wood grain... those are the areas that appear and disappear depending on the angle.

Some just go "TWAAAANNGGG...." and some go "FWWWAAKKKK!!!!" [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Maybe I should buy thicker pieces of wood that go "FWWWUUUMMPPP!!!" [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
